Norman E. Kearns Sr.
Norman E. Kearns, Sr., 87, of Lewistown, passed away on Thursday June 10, 2021 at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital.
Born Feb. 19, 1934 in Granville Township, he was the son of the late William R. and Isabelle (Specht) Kearns. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Joann L. (Fisher) Kearns, his children, Russell Kearns, Jeffrey Kearns and Sandra McMillan, siblings, Rick Kearns, George Kearns, Mary Klase and Roy Kearns and his grandson, Jarred Kearns.
Norman is survived by his loving children, Norman Kearns Jr. and companion Diane Breya, of McClure, Paul Kearns, of Lewistown, Douglas Kearns, of McConnellsburg, Wanda Duncan, of Lewistown and Gregory Kearns, of McConnellsburg; his sister, Barbara Hower and husband Norman, of Lewistown; Grandchildren, Christa Sechler, Danielle Kearns Campbell, Shawn Kearns, Paul ‘Chuck’ Kearns, Jr., Joseph McMillan III, Jeannie Weller, Jessica Kearns, Rachell Kratzer, Ayla Hetrick, Nathan Kearns and Bethany Kearns and 19 great-grandchildren.
Norman was employed at Standard Steel as crane operator for many years.
He was a member of Lawver’s United Methodist Church in McClure.
Earlier in life, Norman enjoyed hunting fishing and camping. He always enjoyed spending time with his family. Later in life, he enjoyed playing bingo and making trips to Hollywood Casino.
A funeral service in loving memory of Norman will be held at Noon on Monday June 14, 2021 at King-Barr Funeral Home, 120 Logan St., Lewistown with Pastor James Jacobs to officiate. There will be a viewing held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until time of service.
Interment will take place in Lawvers United Methodist Church Cemetery
