Leon R. Fultz

Leon R. Fultz, 67, of Rt. 235, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021 at Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg.

He was born on Feb. 24, 1953 in Lewistown, a son of the late Lloyd and Louella (Shaffer) Fultz. On July 10, 1971 he married Barbara (Gill) Fultz who survives.

Leon attended West Snyder High school.

After school he served in the Navy from 1973-1977.

Earlier in life he did work as a mechanic and road construction and eventually worked at Wood Mode in Kreamer until his retirement in 2017.

Mr. Fultz was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Troxelville.

In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, restoring his Plymouth Roadrunner, and fishing. He was instrumental in the ballfield project in Beaver Springs and was an avid fan of military history. Leon spent many years coaching and mentoring youth softball players. However, he loved spending time with his family the most.

Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Shawn Fultz; one daughter and son-in-law, Katrina and Steve Erb; grandchildren, Jorden Bailey and boyfriend Ross Bruner, Dylan Erb and girlfriend Jaci Hostetler, Jarrett Erb, and Kaitlynn Erb; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Donald Wagner; brothers-in-law, Philip Gill and wife Anna, and Kenneth Gill and wife Ginny; nieces and nephews, Justin Wagner and wife Aubrae and Tricia Eisenhart and husband Steve, Michael Gill and wife Lisa, David Gill and wife Christy; great nieces and nephews, Owen Eisenhart, Carson, Blake, Austin, and Easton Gill.

Friends and family will be received from 6-8 pm on Wednesday at Messiah Lutheran Church in Troxelville. Services will be private.

He will be buried in the Troxelville Union Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown.

In lieu of flowers, contrbutions can be made to The American Legion Post 23, Beaver Springs or Messiah Lutheran Church, Troxelville .
