Robert R. ‘Bob’ Plank

Robert R. ‘Bob’ Plank, 76, of Middleburg, went home to be with his heavenly father Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, at his new home at River Woods, Lewisburg since April.

He was the son of the late Chelmer and Dorothy (Miller) Plank.

Born Aug. 9, 1944, in Lewistown, he was a graduate of Chief Logan High School, Class of 1962 and a graduate of Thompson Institute of Harrisburg.

Early in his career he worked for the government as a superintendent of the education building in Harrisburg. Due to an accident, he retired early.

His wife of 27 years, Margaret (Beers) Plank survives. Also surviving are a son, Brian Plank, of Newport; a daughter, Sanja Plank, of Camp Hill; two stepdaughters, Crystal and Ron, Laura and Jerry; four grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother, Donald and Kay Plank, of Burnham; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death are brothers, Jerry, Gene, George and Daryl Plank; and one stepbrother, Ken Miller.

Bob was proud to own a home in Florida where he spent winters, and summers in Pennsylvania for 10 years until moving back to Pennsylvania and settling in Middleburg.

He was a very fun, loving and had an adventurous full life. He enjoyed high school wrestling, attending 22 years of state finals in Hershey. He also enjoyed college football, especially Penn State. His NASCAR favorite driver was Kyle Busch.

We can’t forget his passion for cars. Almost every year a different one, his favorite, convertibles.

He had a special cat, foxy, who followed him everywhere.

Bob will be sadly missed by many. Rest in Peace Bob.

Per the families, there will be no services at this time.
