Margaret Mae ‘Peggy’ Lundin

Margaret Mae “Peggy” Lundin, 80, formerly of Lewistown, passed away Friday, Oct. 23, 2020, in Laporte.

She was born Feb. 7, 1940, in Milroy, and lived all but a few of her adult years in Knoxville, Tenn. She was a daughter of the late Albert Lee “Chip” and Dorothy Louise (Carr) Phillips. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Charles Dean, William and Donald Phillips.

Peggy is survived by: sisters, Patsy Phillips, of Lewistown, and Bonnie (Phillips) Sullivan and husband, Harold Sullivan, of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece and caregiver, Tammy Phillips-Frymeyer and husband, Thomas, of Lewistown; and close cousin, Randy Mateer, of New York.

She was a member of Greenway Baptist Church, in Knoxville.

Peggy was a caregiver her entire life and a compassionate and giving person. She was employed by the Knoxville-Knox County Community Action Committee, Knoxville, and later, as a private duty caregiver. She often volunteered to supply meals for people in need.

Peggy never met a stranger. She was extremely patriotic and an avid supporter of The American Veterans Society. She especially loved and cherished her little therapy dog, Bella, and enjoyed dabbling in various crafts.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of Hoenstine Funeral Home, 75 Logan St., Lewistown.
