Mary B. Byler
Mary B. Byler, 88, of Belleville, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2020, at the Haven.
Born Nov. 24, 1931, in Belleville, she was the daughter of the late John P. Yoder and Saloma Yoder.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Byler, who passed away on May 28, 2012, as well as her four brothers, Steven C. Yoder, Isaiah J. Yoder, Emmanuel M. Yoder, John S. Yoder, and a sister, Ruth F. Baker.
Mary is survived by her children, Richard L. Byler and wife Patricia of Belleville, Jay R. Byler and wife Joy of Belleville, Rodney L. Byler and wife Ruby of Kansas and Boyd E. Byler and wife April of Belleville. Mary is survived by her eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren She is also survived by a brother, Raymond D. Yoder and wife Thelma.
Mary attended Belleville High School. She was primarily a homemaker, and was employed at Weimer’s Store in Allensville for a number of years. Mary was very well known for the wedding cakes she baked.
She was a member of Allensville Mennonite Church, the Rainbow Spectrum Sunday school class, and the Sisters sewing circle. She was an avid quilter.
Her funeral service will be private and at the convenience of the family. Pastors Sherman Stoltzfus , Darren Peachey and Bob Zook will officiate, and burial will be at Allensville Mennonite Cemetery.
