Dorothy A. Hesser

Born Feb. 24, 1935, in Delta, she was a daughter of the late Stewart W. and Emma E. (Johnson) Anderson. Her husband, Robert B. Hesser, whom she married June 9, 1957, preceded her in death Oct. 17, 2001.

Also preceding her in death was a sister, Margaret Sinclair.

Surviving are: three daughters, Diane McCallips and husband, Terry, of Lewistown, Cathy Richardson and husband, Harold, of McVeytown, Linda Bank and husband, Ronald, of Harrisburg; three sisters, Jessie Stephenson, of Mont Alto, Hazel Warner, of Dallastown, Ellen Harvey of Delta; three grandsons, Michael McCallips, Daniel McCallips, Ronald Bank; and one great-grandson, Evan McCallips.

A homemaker, she also retired from the radiology department at Lewistown Hospital.

Dorothy was a member of the McVeytown Presbyterian Church, the Women’s Sunday School Class, and the choir. She also volunteered for 42 years with the McVeytown Ambulace Association.

Private services will be held with Pastor Scott Andrews officiating.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Mattawana.
