Kay A. Goss

Kay A. Goss, 81, of Treaster Road, passed away Sunday morning, Nov. 24, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on Oct. 16, 1938, in Lewistown, a daughter of the late Emerson and Beatrice (Smith) Henry. On Oct. 27, 1956, she married Gene G. Goss who survives.

Kay was a graduate of Lewistown High school and had also attended Empire Beauty School.

Earlier in her life she worked at Blough Wagner Manufacturing and later in 1970 worked alongside her husband helping own and operate the Sears Catalog Store in Middleburg until her retirement.

Kay was a very active member of St. John’s “Ridge” Lutheran church where she sang in the choir.

In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, camping, sewing, singing, playing instruments and most importantly spending time with family and friends. Kay and Gene entertained guests by singing and playing instruments together.

Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons and daughters in law, Carmon G. and Cyndi Goss and Mark D. and Bonnie Goss, all of McClure; one daughter, Tamera R. Goss, of McClure; eight grandchildren, Jamon, Jennifer, Jodi, Stephanie, Sarah, Corey, Cabrina and Carly; 12 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Evelyn Bowersox, Janet Armstrong and Patti McCann.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, James and Marlin Henry.

Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, 2019, at St. John’s “Ridge” Lutheran Church where the funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.

Interment will be held at a later date in the adjoining Black Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown.
