Helen F. Mayhue

Helen F. Mayhue, 74, formerly of Belleville, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at William Penn Nursing Home.

Born March 30, 1945, in Belleville, she was the daughter of the late Merle P. and Catherine E. (Collins) Harmon.

Helen is survived by: one son, James P. Mayhue, of Belleville; two grandchildren, Lauren E. Kurtz and husband, Josh, of Burnham, and Sydnye E. Bottorff, of Reedsville; four great-grandchildren, Jack Emerson Kurtz, Landon James Kurtz, Troy Ronald Kurtz and Kayden Bottorff. She was the last of her immediate family, but she had lots of family from the Philipsburg area.

Helen was a 1963 graduate of Kish High School. She was employed at Fisher’s Arrow Shirt Factory, Allensville Mailing Factory and she retired from Scotty’s in Lewistown.

She was a member of the National Honor Society in high school. She attended the Evangel Baptist Churh in Lewistown. She enjoyed collecting postcards and photographs and doing crossword puzzles.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, July 12, 2019, at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Belleville.

In lieu of flowers, should friends desire, memorials may be made to Pets Come First , 2451 General Potter Highway, Centre Hall, PA 16828.
