William F. ‘Bill’ Paden

William F. “Bill” Paden, 79, of Mifflin, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 8, 2019. Born on May 27, 1939 in Denholm, he was the son of the late Betty Shover Paden and John Paden.

On May 13, 2005, he married his wife and companion Judy Holesapple Paden with whom he was blessed to share 32 years of marriage.

Surviving are his children: Michael Leister and fiance, Tami Zimmerman, Sally Brown, Billie Jo Waugh and husband, Keith, and Douglas Paden and companion, Ray Castro. Stepchildren: Ben Mauer and wife, Jessica and Jason Mauer and wife, Ashley. Grandchildren: Seth Leister, Tarren Waugh, Tanner Brown, Hunter Brown and Jensen Waugh. Great-grandchildren: Brantley Leister, Sophia Mauer and Ezra Mauer. Siblings: Dawn Sheaffer, Sharon Arnold, Jean Cramer and Vic Paden.

He was preceded in death by his brother and best friend “Skip” Paden.

Earlier in life, he worked for various cabinet factories before retiring from Leidy Chevrolet as a parts runner. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Bill was a master gardener, hunter, fisherman and also enjoyed NASCAR.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16 at Seventh Day Adventist Church, 23547 Route 35 N., Mifflintown. Visitation will be 5-6 p.m.
