Joseph Dudick Jr.

Joseph Dudick Jr. died Sunday, Oct. 21 at his home in Harrisburg. He was 68.

Born in Lewistown on Jan. 4, 1950 to the late Joseph Dudick and late Vasilo F. Dudick, Joe was a graduate of Allegheny College, Meadville.

He served during the 1990s as Gov. Tom Ridge’s adviser on rural affairs and executive director of the Pennsylvania Rural Affairs Development Council. He was a member of the Consumer Advisory Council to the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.

Previously Joe was director of public affairs for the Allegheny Electric Cooperative and executive director of the Great Lakes Electric Consumers Association.

He was president of Dynamic Strategies Group, a consulting company he formed after leaving state government.

He was a member of The Orthodox Church.

A memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday Nov. 15 at the Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home, 3125 Walnut St., Harrisburg, with V. Rev. Stephen Vernak – Pastor of Christ the Savior Orthodox Church officiating. Internment will be at Paxtang Cemetery, Harrisburg.
