Esther A. Donahey
Esther A. Donahey, 96, formerly of Dull Street, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Ohesson Manor in Lewistown.
Born July 24, 1919, in Bratton Township, she was a daughter of the late Ellsworth and Florence (Miller) Moist. Her husband, Carl E. Donahey, preceded her in death on Jan. 28, 1978.
Surviving are four children, Maxine C. Hendricks, of Camp Hill, Leon K. Donahey and wife, Sandra, of McVeytown, Gloria S. Goss and husband, Michael, of McVeytown, Marlin D. Donahey and wife, Joan, of Bellefonte, 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Arlene J. Rothrock; two son-in-laws, Nelson Rothrock and Ronald Hendricks; four siblings, Grace Yoder, Warren Moist, Violet Aurand, Pearl Laughlin; one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
She was a homemaker, also helping on the family farm.
Esther was a member of the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren and a deaconess of the church.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 15 at the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren with Pastor Randy Fisk officiating. Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren, 67 Pine Glen Road, Lewistown.
