Sacred Heart receives donation

LEWISTOWN — Anthony Kovaleski of Miele Manufacturing in Williamsport presented a check to Sacred Heart of Jesus School in Lewistown on behalf of the Pennsylvania Skill Charitable Foundation and Frank Guerrini Vending Machines, Inc. The $7,000 check represents a $3,500 grant from the foundation which will be used to fund internet upgrades to the school, and a $3,500 matching donation from the vending company.

The PA Skill Charitable Foundation accepts applications for grants through vending operators in PA who use PA Skill Games in their businesses. Del Guerrini, owner of Frank Guerrini Vending Machines, Inc., Lewistown, and a graduate of Sacred Heart School, made the contact for the grants. Ashley Henry, Advancement Director for Sacred Heart School and Parish, submitted the paperwork and coordinated the process.

Miele Manufacturing builds and distributes the Pace Pennsylvania Skill Game. Due to the success of this machine, the charitable foundation has been able to award grants to many organizations, including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Ronald McDonald House Danville, Juniata County Library, Central PA Food Bank, The Veteran’s Group, and many others.
