Actors perform during last year’s Bethlehem Village at McVeytown Presbyterian Church. The event this year will be held 5 to 8 p.m. Dec. 14 and 2 to 7 p.m. Dec. 15. The interactive village will include a bustling marketplace with Middle Eastern food samples and wares. Visitors will have the opportunity to visit Mary and Joseph as they oblige their civic duty and register for Caesar Augustus census of the Roman Empire. There will be entertainment as visitors experience what Bethlehem may have been like on the historic and reverence night of Jesus’ birth. There will be free self-guided tours that take between 30 minutes and an hour and include live nativity demonstrations every 30 minutes. A special guest appearance by Roxie the camel will be available Saturday evening.
