Wes Clemmer and Michael Bailey will serve as co-pastors for Lewistown Assembly of God Church on Summit Drive, Lewistown.

New Life Assembly of God Church announced this week that Pastors Michael Bailey and Wes Clemmer will work together as interim pastors at Lewistown Assembly of God, covering preaching and teaching responsibilities until a new pastor is found.

The pastor position was left vacant earlier this month upon the retirement of Pastor Dennis Sproul, who held his position for 11 years.

Bailey resides in Mifflin County with his wife Jane. He is a long-time local pastor with a great deal of experience in starting new congregations. In the past he has begun new congregations in Alabama, Georgia, and several counties in central Pennsylvania.

Clemmer is originally from the Lancaster County area where he was pastor of several churches. He and his wife Verna now reside in Mifflin County and are well known for their music ministry as well as preaching and teaching.

Pastors Bailey and Clemmer, served together for many years on the board of Liberty Fellowship of Churches and Ministers. In addition to those responsibilities Clemmer was the district overseer of Liberty Fellowship for the Northeast Region. They have worked together in ministry for many years and look forward to building new relationships with the congregation of the New Life Assembly of God.
