Santa’s Workshop to benefit area children

REEDSVILLE — Local businesses will join efforts with Church Hill United Methodist Church as collection sites for Santa’s Workshop to benefit children in the community ages 12 and under. The goal is for children to be given play money to shop for their parents/guardians and families for Christmas free of charge. By shopping, children will learn the value of shopping wisely.

To make a contribution to this outreach, bring your items (new or gently used) to Sharp Shopper in Belleville and place them in the bin inside the store, or bring items to Uni-Mart, 3 Center St., Milroy, and bring inside the store, now until Dec. 12.

Suggested items can include, but not limited to, clothing (pants, shirts, socks, sleep wear, hats, gloves, coats) toys, board games, craft items, jewelry, nick-nacks, small appliances (crock pots, toasters, hair dryers, curling irons, shavers) candles, men’s and women’s toiletry, handmade personal items, hunting gear, work gloves, wrapped candy, Christmas ornaments. Please, no sharp objects or weapons.

Starting at $2.99/week.
