This new dog grooming shop opened in mid-November as an “after hours” dog salon at 701 Main St., Port Royal, PA 17082.

“I offer a one-on-one stress-free grooming experience for my clients’ dogs,” explained owner Amanda Trubiani. “Just me and your dog, no other dogs unless one is waiting to be picked up or dropped off early. I also offer ‘after-hours’ appointments, so unlike most grooming salons, I do not open until 5 p.m.”

Trubiani works a full-time job with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, but has always had a “passion and love for animals,” stemming from working in a dog bakery/grooming shop in Florida.

She worked as an apprentice under a certified master groomer in Florida before moving back to Pennsylvania two years ago.

“My husband literally had a dream that I opened a grooming shop and came to me about it, so we started redoing half of our garage so I could open a grooming business to do something I love,” shared Trubiani.

Trubiani said that having something right at home was an “easy choice” and provides the perfect opportunity for her to follow her dreams as a “one woman show.”

Tailored Tails Grooming offers grooming services for dogs of all sizes including full grooms, mini grooms, baths, and nail trimming. Trubiani takes pride in the “tailored” experience fur-babies will experience in their one-on-one grooming appointment.

Tailored Tails Grooming is open Monday and Tuesday from 5 to 9 p.m., Wednesday through Friday from 4 to 9 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. Appointments can be made through online booking at https://tailored-tails-grooming-salon.square.site.
