Calendar
The Sentinel offers nonprofit and other community organizations an opportunity to promote upcoming events for free in the community calendar for three days before the event. Events requiring reservations may be promoted for up to two weeks before the reservation deadline.
Events that require a purchase from a for-profit business, even if a donation is made to the organization, are not eligible for the calendar.

• Juniata County Historical Society spring meeting and dinner — 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 23, Walker Grange, Mexico. Speaker: Darwin Seiler, Friends of the Monterey Pass Battlefield Museum. Tickets are available by visiting the Juniata County Historical Society’s Archives, located below the Juniata County Library, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday or 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, or by calling (717) 436-5152 by April 16. A roast chicken dinner will be served.
• Mifflin County Chapter PASR luncheon meeting — noon, Thursday, May 1, Birch Hill Event Center, Burnham. Scholarships will be awarded to two Mifflin County High School seniors. The Lauretta Woodson Award will be presented to Mifflin County Junior High School. Menu: coleslaw, beef tips in gravy, mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts, roll/butter, apple pie with topping. •West Snyder Rotary Club Easter egg hunt — 1 p.m., rain or shine, West Snyder Elementary School, Beaver Springs. All Midd-West School students and guests, preschool to sixth grade, are invited.
• Bingo — doors open at 5 p.m., Early birds start at 6:30 p.m., Beale Township Fire Co.
•Keystone State Muscle Cars Cruise-In — 5 to 8 p.m., weather-permitting, Between Ollie’s and Sheetz in Burnham. All cars, trucks, bikes are welcome. No membership needed. For more information, call (717) 437-6050.
