Lore Degenstein Gallery to host exhibition

SELINSGROVE–The Lore Degenstein Gallery at Susquehanna University will host an opening reception for its latest exhibition, Ouroboros, at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 15.

The event is free and open to the public. The exhibition runs through April 27.

The annual exhibition is a celebration of the accomplishments of the university’s senior graphic design and studio art students. The pieces displayed are samplings of each student’s body of work that will later be included in their final major portfolios.

The exhibition’s name is chosen by each class of graduating seniors. This year’s selection, Ouroboros, evokes the ancient image of a snake eating its own tail. While the ouroboros symbol generally symbolizes eternity or cosmic harmony, it is applied here to signify art’s continual evolution and progress.

The Lore Degenstein Gallery, located in the Charles B. Degenstein Campus Center, is open seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the academic year. It is closed during university recesses. Call (570) 372-4059 for an appointment when classes are not in session.

Starting at $2.99/week.
