Hazard announces his candidacy for Twp. supervisor

George Hazard
MIFFLINTOWN — George M. Hazard Jr., of Whitetail Drive, has announced his candidacy for Walker Township supervisor, a two-year term.
Hazard is a retired owner of Redrock Construction Inc., former president of The Pennsylvania Deer Farmers Association, and a Navy veteran. He owned Redrock Construction for 40 years.
Hazard has been married to his wife, Marylou, for 57 years. They enjoy time spent with their children and grandchildren. Hazard remains an involved and dedicated servant within his community. He is also a small beef farmer and is active within his church.
“I am a conservative, hard-working and dedicated individual who will represent the voice of the people in Walker Township with the utmost integrity,” Hazard said. “My background makes me the smart choice for the many responsibilities of this position, which includes overseeing the day-to-day operations of the township, managing budgets, taxes, local ordinances, land usage and environmental protections.
“I am running to represent the interests of the people of Walker Township. I also support David W. Hostler for Walker Township supervisor’s six-year term,” he added. “Together, we will be your voice for the people of Walker Township.”
Hazard and Hostler are running on the Republican ballot. “We are asking our Democratic supporters for their write-in votes,” Hazard said.
