There’s such a selection of things to do this weekend that there’s almost not enough time to do them all.
So, you probably will have to do some picking and choosing here and there. Check out these five things:
Meals on the go
• Annual Maple Grove Pancake Breakfast, 7 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, hosted by Maple Grove Sunday School, Maple Rd., Licking Creek Valley, Mifflintown.
This meal is either eat-in or takeout. Enjoy pancakes, sausage, scrambled eggs and more. The cost is $10 for ages 13 and older, $6 for ages 3 to 12 and free for ages 2 and under. Proceeds benefit a local family.

• Chicken and Pork BBQ Fundraiser, 10 a.m.to noon, Saturday, Thompsontown AMVETS, 24015 Route 333, Thompsontown. Pickup at Thompsontown AMVETS or in Schlegel’s parking lot. Proceeds benefit Thompsontown AMVETS Youth and Handicapped Trout Derbies.
• Spring Drive-Thru Pot Pie Sale, 3:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Christ’s United Lutheran Church, 13765 Old Turnpike Road, Millmont. Ham, beef and chicken pot pie will be available by the quart at $12 each. Homemade pickled cabbage pints at $5 each will be offered. Terrarium workshop
Juniata Valley Winery, 19175 Route 35, Mifflin, will host a Wine and Design: Terrarium Workshop from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. Learn how to build your own terrarium. All supplies, excluding the terrarium, are provided as well as a glass of wine for each participant. Light refreshments included. Attendees can bring a glass vessel of their choosing, which should not be larger than eight inches in diameter or 10 inches in width. It is recommended that a nice wide top is selected as most builders are novice.
Sports benefits
Stars and Stripes Cornhole of Central Pennsylvania hosts a benefit tournament on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Midd-West Middle School gymnasium, 10 Dock Hill Road, Middleburg. Proceeds benefit the Midd-West Mustangs football team. Registration starts at 10 a.m., with bags to fly at 11 a.m. This is a bring your own partner event. Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of six games. Prizes range from $50 to $600. No corn filled bags please. Bags will be available to use for anyone needing them. EJ baseball bingo, noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Fayette Fire Hall, 461 Main St., McAlisterville. Doors open at noon, with games beginning at 1 p.m. Nine cards to 20 games. Raffle and home run and grand slam jackpots will also be available. Advance tickets cost $25. Tickets at the door at $30. Small games of chance are available. Kitchen will be open. Curtains go up at the theater
East Juniata High School presents “Disney’s Frozen Jr.,” 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, East Juniata High School, 32944 Route 35 North, Cocolamus. This enchanting modern classic from Disney is based on the 2018 Broadway musical, and brings Elsa, Anna and the magical land of Arendelle to life, onstage. The show features all of the memorable songs from the animated film, with music and lyrics by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, plus five new songs written for the Broadway production. Online ticket sales end 12 hours before each show. Any tickets still available may be purchased in person at the box office in our lobby one hour prior to performances.
Juniata High School stages “The Music Man,” 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday, Juniata High School, 3931 William Penn Highway, Mifflintown. There’s trouble in River City when a fast-talking salesman gets his heart stolen by the town librarian. By turns wicked, funny, warm, romantic and touching, The Music Man is family entertainment at its best. Meredith Willson’s six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957 and is a family-friendly story to be shared with every generation. Tickets cost $5. All-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner and a show is 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday in the JHS cafeteria, with tickets at $20 for adults and $10 for ages 12 and under. Proceeds benefit JHS Drama Club and cross country team.
Stone Arch Players perform “The Tell-Tale Farce,” 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, through March 15, and 2 p.m. Sundays March 9 and 16, Theater in the Park, Kishacoquillas Park, 1 Derry Park Drive, Lewistown. If you like a door-slamming, kiss-stealing, gutsy-posturing and some bad poetry kind of farce, this show is for you! Don’t miss a night of laughter. This weekend only tickets cost $10.
