Mifflin County Courthouse delayed opening schedule on Thursday

LEWISTOWN — Due to the impending weather, the Mifflin County Courthouse will be operating on a delayed opening schedule on Thursday Feb. 6. The Courthouse will open at 10 a.m. The Mifflin County Commissioners meeting will now start at 10:30 a.m.

Christ’s United Lutheran Church set for indoor yard sale on Friday, Saturday

MILLMONT — Stop by the indoor yard sale at Christ’s United Lutheran Church, 13765 Old Turnpike Road, Millmont, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. Lost Creek Mennonite Church prepares for Art Camp on Saturday

MIFFLINTOWN — Lost Creek Mennonite Church, 2682 Long Road, Mifflintown, will host its annual Art Camp on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Variety of classes available for ages to 7 to 12 with woodland art and cookies; and teens to adults: stained glass painting, paint and stitch and macramé. First Baptist Church of Juniata County sponsors Benefit Soup Supper

MIFFLINTOWN — The First Baptist Church of Juniata County, 23964 Route 35, Mifflintown, will host its Sixth Annual Benefit Soup Supper on Saturday, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. A variety of soups will be available, including chili, chicken corn noodle, creamy sausage, cheesy broccoli and ham and bean, along with a full salad bar, homemade breads, desserts and coffee. Takeout available from 3:30 to 5 p.m. or sit down for all-you-can-eat. Cost is donation. Proceeds benefit the Juniata County Foster and Adopt Support Group.

Fremont Fire Department Valentine’s Dinner is Saturday

MOUNT PLEASANT MILLS — The Fremont Fire Department, 299 Millrace Road, Mount Pleasant Mills, will hold an all-you-can-eat Valentine’s Dinner fundraiser on Saturday, 4 to 6 p.m. at the Fremont Social Hall. The meal will include: chicken and waffles, mashed potatoes, vegetables, coleslaw, applesauce, dessert and a drink. The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for ages 5 to 11. Proceeds benefit the fire department.
