First Bakers UMC to host Bible study

McCLURE — First Bakers United Methodist Church will host a Bible study every Wednesday at 7 p.m. The church will also host a youth group for individuals under age 18 on the first Thursday of each month, except July.

Schrader UMC to host special speakers

MILROY — Schrader United Methodist Church will host the following speakers during its 8:30 a.m. services:

Worship services at Trinity Lutheran Church

McALISTERVILLE — Trinity Lutheran Church, 420 Main St. in McAlisterville.

Jan. 5 is the last Sunday in the season of Christmas and we are celebrating a baptism. Pastor James Bricker will share the Good News. The 4th Annual Toilet Paper Bowl of Caring collection begins Jan. 5. Each year community congregations challenge each other to collect toilet paper for the Juniata County Food Pantry. This year our combined goal is 3,000 single rolls. All donations are due Feb. 9 (Super Bowl Sunday). Are you interested in becoming a member of Trinity? Would you like to learn more about Lutheran beliefs and the ministry of TLC? Contact the church office. A New Members class will be scheduled in February for all interested.

HHHO food giveaway in Beavertown

BEAVERTOWN — Helping Hands, Helping Others, Inc. will be holding a food giveaway on Tuesday Jan. 21 beginning at 10 a.m. in the pavilion at Beaver Lutheran Church, Rt. 522 at the west end of Beavertown. HHHO is not government funded. There are no income limits. HHHO is a 501-C3 non-profit. All donations are appreciated and can be sent to P.O. Box 151, Beavertown, PA.
