Lewistown man arrested for warrant
LEWISTOWN — Kennith Rapp, 27, of Lewistown, was taken into custody without incident for a warrant from Blair County relating to a DUI arrest and held in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility at 6:54 p.m. on Jan. 7, according to a release issued by the Lewistown Police Department on Friday. Officers were conducting a traffic stop on Chestnut Street, Lewistown, due to an equipment violation. Rapp was the driver of the vehicle, police said.
Police seize paraphernalia during traffic stop
MIFFLINTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown troopers seized drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop at 3:41 p.m. on Dec. 1, on Burkholder Drive, east of Cedar Street, in Fermanagh Township, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Friday. The traffic stop involved a 2008 Honda CRV, the report said. No information was provided about anyone in the vehicle.
McVeytown man arrested for harassment
LEWISTOWN — An unidentified 55-year-old McVeytown man was arrested after letting himself inside a Juniata Terrace residence and making comments and acting erratically at 8 p.m. on Jan. 8, according to a Public Information Release Report issued by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown on Friday. Troopers were investigating an alleged harassment on Terrace Boulevard involving an unidentified 21-year-old female from Lewistown when the male appeared at the residence. He appeared before Magisterial District Judge Craig Weston.
Woman escapes injury during crash
HUNTINGDON — A 35-year-old Lewistown woman escaped injury after being involved in a three-vehicle accident on William Penn Highway, near Cramer Drive, in Brady Township at 9:57 a.m. on Dec. 2, according to a Public Information Release Report issued by Pennsylvania State Police at Huntingdon on Friday. Elizabeth A. Bratton was driving a 2018 Nissan Rogue and was stopped in the eastbound lane of William Penn Highway from a previous crash, the report said. An unidentified 16-year-old female driver, in a 2007 Volkswagen Jetta, was also traveling east and failed to stop, striking a 2014 Lexus RX350, which was driven by Kelly G. Dixon, 58, of Huntingdon, the report said. Dixon’s vehicle was pushed into Bratton’s vehicle, the report said, which was then moved to a nearby gravel parking lot after the collision. The report said Bratton was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. The other two drivers were not injured; a passenger in Dixon’s vehicle, Pauline Dixon, 81, of Huntingdon, was also not injured, police said. All were wearing seatbelts.
