Two cited with possession of controlled substance
MIFFLINTOWN — Two men were arrested Sunday, Dec. 15, following a motor vehicle crash.
According to a report, Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a report of a disabled vehicle at around 6:45 p.m. where Robert Gearhart, 69 of Pleasant Gap and Warren Price, 62 of Stormstown were located.
During the incident, police said Price attempted to give the officer false identification as he had an active arrest warrant. The report states that both men were found to be in possession of controlled substances as well.
No injuries sustained in collision with deer
McVEYTOWN — On Monday, Dec. 23, Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a one-vehicle crash at midnight.
According to the report, Joshua Rank, 20, of Lewistown, was traveling south on US Highway 522, Oliver Township, when a deer ran onto the roadway.
Rank stated he was unable to avoid the collision and struck the deer with his vehicle. The 2013 Chevy Sonic that Rank was driving, received disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
Rank was wearing his seatbelt and remained uninjured.
Police investigating stolen firearm
McALISTERVILLE — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown are investigating the report of a stolen firearm from a residence on Fairview Road, Fayette Township.
According to the report, the gun was taken around the time of Sunday, June 2 around midnight to Monday, Dec. 2 around 1:45 p.m.
