Juniata County Commissioners discuss audit
MIFFLINTOWN — Juniata County Commissioners discussed audit services and other business at their Tuesday meeting.
Commissioners approved letters of engagement to have Boyer & Ritter CPAs perform audit services for Juniata County covering the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, 2024.
This approval included the county-wide audit at a cost of $58,950, the Department of Human Services audit supplement at $7,075, and additional major programs (if required) at $3,000 per program.
Juniata County Commissioners also…
•Approved the assessment reports as well as The Sheriff’s annual and monthly reports and the treasurer’s report for the month of December 2024;
•Approved the tax claim cash report for the fourth quarter of 2024;
•Approved the tax exonerations for Spruce Hill and Susquehanna Townships as per the material they received;
•Approved a change in compensation for Hillary Kindervater, in her capacity as Tax Claim Director, to reflect the addition of duties and modifications to her job description effective Jan. 1, 2025;
•Approved annual wage increases for non-union positions for fiscal year 2025 in separate Salary Boards for those elected officials who are available. If approved, the wage increases will be retroactive to Jan. 1, 2025.
