LEWISTOWN — During the 119th Congress, Representative John Joyce, M.D. (PA-13) will serve as vice-chair of the House Energy and Commerce Committee and as co-chair of the GOP Doctors Caucus, allowing Joyce to take a lead role in advancing healthcare, energy, and telecommunications policy efforts in the U.S. House of Representatives.

“It is an honor,” said Joyce. “This is a great opportunity to work with Energy and Commerce Chairman Brett Guthrie, and my fellow Doctors Caucus Co-Chair Greg Murphy, to increase access for my constituents to high-quality health care, affordable energy, and high-speed broadband. Through these positions, as a physician legislator, I will be able to bring positive lasting change to the lives of the constituents of Pennsylvania’s 13th Congressional district.”

During the 119th Congress, Joyce will serve on House Energy and Commerce Committee Subcommittees on Health, Communications and Technology, and Environment. Joyce served on all three subcommittees during the prior 118th Congress. Joyce is the only Member of Congress from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to serve on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce or the GOP Doctors Caucus.
