The Sentinel offers nonprofit and other community organizations an opportunity to promote upcoming events for free in the community calendar for three days before the event. Events requiring reservations may be promoted for up to two weeks before the reservation deadline.

•Graceful Soles Shoe Bank — 9 a.m. to noon, Grace United Methodist Church, 101 Logan St., Lewistown. Children up to age 18 are given a free pair of shoes with verification of low income through medical assistance. Parent or guardian must accompany child.

•Burnham Lions Club turkey dinner — 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until sold out, Burnham Lions building, First Ave., Burnham. Menu: turkey, filling, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn and green beans. Take-out only. $12 per dinner.

•Captain Jack / Mount Union Area High School get-together — 6 p.m. at Downtown OIP.

•Job Club — 10 a.m.-noon, Mifflin County CareerLink, MCIDC plaza building 58. Attendees will have the opportunity to search for jobs, tailor resumes, apply for jobs and learn how to get jobs.

•Sacred Heart Thrift Shop bag sale — 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., 4 N. Dorcas St., Lewistown. Clothing and shoes $5 per bag.
