Deer collision results in towed vehicle
McVEYTOWN — No injuries were sustained in a crash that occurred at about 12:30 a.m. Monday when a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic collided with a deer.
The vehicle, however, sustained disabling damage.
Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to the one-vehicle accident US Highway 522 South. Police said Joshua Rank, 20, of Lewistown was traveling south when a deer ran onto the roadway. Rank was unable to avoid the collision and struck the deer in the travel lanes.
The vehicle was towed from the scene. Rank was wearing his seat belt and remained uninjured.
Walker Township crash caused
by slippery roads
MIFFLINTOWN — On Sunday, Dec. 15 around 4 p.m. Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a one-vehicle crash on US Highway 322, Walker Township.
According to the report, Sharla Martin, 21, of Stevens, lost control of her 2008 Chevrolet Impala on the snow-covered roadway, causing her to slide off the road and strike a tree on the shoulder. Martin was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was not injured. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed by Geedys Towing.

vehicle overturns
MIFFLIN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to a one-vehicle crash at about 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, in which a 2019 Ford Escape slid on snow-covered roads into an embankment before overturning.
According to the report, the driver, Thaddeus Bowersox, 19, of Reedsville, attempted to make a left-hand turn from state Route 35 onto Jam House Road, Milford Township.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene by Gray’s Towing.
Bowersox was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash and remained uninjured.
