Two charged with disorderly conduct
LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers received information about an assault taking place at the Kish Apartments, located at 196 S. Main St., Lewistown, at 11:05 p.m. on Dec. 9. One tenant, Christopher Dippery, 31, of Lewistown, was confrontational towards another tenant and was being very aggressive, police said. The second tenant, Kenneth Lampert III, 54, of Lewistown, proceeded to assault Dippery in a common area, causing minor injuries, police said. Officers reviewed surveillance video associated with the assault and both subjects were charged with disorderly conduct, the report said.
Man picked up on warrants, charged with drug possession
LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers were alerted to a suspended registration by license plate readers mounted on their patrol vehicle at 1:38 p.m. on Dec. 11, according to a release issued on Friday. A traffic stop was conducted on the 200 block of Valley Street, police said a passenger in the vehicle, Justin Grassmyer, 37, of McClure, was found to have four active warrants. Police said Grassmyer was taken into custody on his warrants. During a search incident to arrest, officers located prescription medication that was not prescribed to Grassmyer. Grassmyer was charged with drug possession.
Police arrest driver for alleged DUI
LEWISTOWN — Darren Moore, 478, of Granville Township, was arrested by Lewistown Police Department officers for allegedly driving under the influence at 6:03 p.m. on Dec. 12, according to a report issued on Friday. Officers responded to a crash on the first block of West Fleming Avenue, Lewistown. Moore struck a parked vehicle and told officers that he fell asleep, police said. Moore had a vape pen that he told officers he was unsure whether it contained nicotine or a marijuana concentrate, police said. Officers conducted several tests and Moore exhibited several signs of impairment consistent with drug impairment, police said. During a search incident to arrest, police said officers located marijuana in Moore’s possession. Charges for Moore are pending toxicology reports, police said. LPD would like to highlight that the officer who investigated this crash just completed the ARIDE course a few hours prior and had just started an overtime shift. The officer credited the ARIDE course in alerting him to recognizing additional indicators of drug impairment as well as being able to administer field sobriety tests specific to drug impairment.
Police investigate trespassing incident
McCLURE — Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove are investigating a criminal trespass incident on Gross Road in Beaver Township at 2:19 p.m. on Nov. 29, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Thursday. The victim was an unidentified 39-year-old female, from McClure, police said.
Megan’s Law violator jailed
LEWISTOWN — Steven Pascuzzi, 48, of Lewistown, was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Tracy L. Powell and held in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility for being late to register with Megan’s Law.
Two charged with simple assault
LEWISTOWN — Mifflin County Regional Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence on Old Stagecoach Road in Derry Township at 11:57 a.m. on Dec. 1, where they found Amber R. Fergison, 45, and Kenneth D. Kleinfelter, 46, engaged in a physical altercation at the residence, according to a release issued on Thursday. Police said both subjects were charged with simple assault and transported to the Mifflin County Correctional Facility for arraignment.
Charges filed after incident with shotgun
LEWISTOWN — Daniel J. Felmlee, 74, of Lewistown, was charged with simple assault by physical menace after pointing a shotgun at neighbors at 4:42 p.m. on Dec. 1, according to a release issued by the Mifflin County Regional Police Department on Thursday. Officers were called to the 400 block of Eighth Street, Burnham, for a neighborhood disturbance, the report said. Upon arrival, officers learned that Felmlee had retrieved a shotgun from his residence and pointed it at neighbors, police said. Neighbors showed officers pictures of Felmlee holding the gun, police said. Officers recovered the shotgun and located shotgun ammunition in Felmlee’s pockets, police said.
Driver taken into custody on obstruction charges
LEWISTOWN — At 2:17 p.m. on Dec. 5, Mifflin County Regional Police Department officers stopped a 2020 Ford Ecosport on West Freedom Avenue, Derry Township, for a traffic violation, according to a release issued on Thursday. The driver, later identified as 27-year-old Branden L. Luse, initially refused to identify himself to officers, police said. Luse was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody on charges of obstruction of government, police said. Further investigation revealed that his driver’s license was suspended and his vehicle was not registered, police said, and drug paraphernalia was located in the vehicle.
Woman cited over missing cheeseburgers
LEWISTOWN — Ashley L. Murphy, 35, of Lewistown, was charged with disorderly conduct and harassment by Mifflin County Regional Police Department officers after an alleged disturbance at McDonald’s Restaurant on Electric Avenue, Derry Township, at 4:01 p.m. on Dec. 7, according to a release issued on Thursday. The report said Murphy was engaged in a physical altercation with McDonald’s employees as she was upset that she was “shorted two cheeseburgers.” Officers reviewed the surveillance video and observed Murphy acting in an aggressive manner with employees, escalating to the point where she threw multiple punches at employees, the report said. Employees eventually escorted Murphy from the building, the report said.
