Yeagertown teen faces DUI charges

LEWISTOWN — An 18-year-old Yeagertown man was pulled over for multiple traffic violations on Saturday, Sept. 29. The report, provided by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown states that around 1:30 a.m. the driver of a 2005 Subaru Outback was under the influence of alcohol while driving on the 13000 block of Ferguson Valley road, Derry Township.

Police investigate vehicle theft

PORT ROYAL — On Wednesday, Nov. 27 around 9 a.m. officers from the Pennsylvania State Police State Police at Lewistown received a call about a theft of a vehicle from the area of Route 75 South, Lack Township.

According to the report, a 53-year-old East Waterford woman said her 2016 Chevrolet was taken without her permission. Troopers are still investigating.

Teen injured in McVeytown crash

McVEYTOWN — According to a report, 19-year-old Jayden Bilger, of Reedsville, was transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital after a vehicle accident on Tuesday, Nov.19.

Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown responded to US Highway 522, South around 5:30 p.m. where they found a 1994 Mazda in a ditch on the right side of the roadway. Bilger was transported for injuries of an unknown severity. The vehicle was towed by Rich Houtz towing.

Fire marshal investigating East Waterford fire

EAST WATERFORD — On Monday around 11:45 p.m. responders were dispatched to a garage fire on Route 75, South. Police said the garage belonged to Carl Wegrzyn, 74 of East Waterford.

According to the report, officials have not determined a cause due to the amount of damage.

The Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshall Unit is still investigating what caused the fire.
