Hellam man arrested for DUI with injuries
McVEYTOWN — A Hellam man is in jail after police said he injured himself and two others while driving intoxicated.
Robert Alan Hall, 60, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Kent Smith Friday on charges of aggravated assault by vehicle, DUI and other summary traffic offenses.
According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown, were called to the 2600 block of state Route 103 N, Bratton Township at about 10:20 p.m. Nov. 30, for the report of a motor vehicle rollover crash with injuries.
On the scene, police met the driver, Hall, who stated he had been drinking.
Police said they interviewed an individual at Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital on Nov. 30, identified as “Bleacher,” who sustained bruising.
Officers interviewed a second individual on Dec. 17, identified as Finefrock, who said he sustained a major neck injury.
Police said Hall also sustained a major head injury in the crash and was unable to perform standardized field sobriety tests.
Hall is being held in Mifflin County Correctional Facility, unable to post $20,000 bail. He is awaiting a preliminary hearing set for 9 a.m. Jan. 8
