Derry Township officials approve land plans

LEWISTOWN — Derry Township officials approved a subdivision and lot addition plan for Justin Foulk on Monday, as presented by Bill Sarge of Sarge Engineering.

Foulk currently owns a lot addition across from the location where he sought township approval.; he plans to consolidate these lots.

Lucas Parkes and Mike Buffington of JVG were also in attendance, The two sought conditional approval of the Pleasant Acres West 16th addition subdivision and land development plan.

Solicitor Timothy Searer, Vice Chairman Donald Warntz II, and Chairman Ronald Napikoski Jr. voted in favor of the plan with conditional approval. Supervisor John Sipe voted against the plan.

The plan is “conditional on developer’s agreement, stormwater agreement, adequate financial security,” added Searer.

In other business, officials also…

•Approved a software agreement in the amount of $8,500 for a three-year contract only paying in implements of $5,700;

•Approved Doug Marks as sewer authority appointee;

•Approved of the 2025 Wildlife Management Contract with the USDA in the amount of $17,546;

•Approved the United Way to use the Kish Park from 8 to 11 a.m. on Feb. 8, 2025, for its annual Walk For Warmth.
