Lewistown man charged with retail theft at Nittany Minit Mart

LEWISTOWN — Tate Young, 29, of Lewistown, was cited for retail theft after Lewistown Police Department officers determined he attempted to leave the Nittany Minit Mart, 403 E. Walnut St., Lewistown, without paying for an alcoholic beverage at 12:11 p.m. Nov. 15, according to a report issued on Friday. Young was seen entering the alcohol cooler and concealing an alcoholic beverage, the report said.

Teen charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and drunkenness

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers responded to a fight that began at 217 E. Third St., Lewistown, at 12:47 a.m. on Nov. 16, according to a report issue on Friday. Talik Fernandez, 19, of Lewistown, was highly intoxicated and broke a window with his hand causing a laceration. Fernandez fled the scene prior to police arriving, but officers found Fernandez lying on East Berks Alley, the report said. While trying to arrest Fernandez, he attempted to kick officers, the report said. He also began spitting towards officers and was spreading blood in the patrol vehicle, the report said. Fernandez was treated at the hospital where he was given a sedative. He was eventually lodged in the Mifflin County Correctional Facility and charged with resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. The Mifflin County Regional Police Department and FAME EMS assisted Lewistown officers.

Juveniles charged with

receiving stolen property

LEWISTOWN — Two juveniles, who admitted to receiving bicycles that were stolen from 141 S. Pine Road, Lewistown, had have charges filed against them by Lewistown Police Department officers on Nov.17, according to a report released on Friday. Officers located the bikes on the first block of Montgomery Avenue and identified the juveniles, the report said. The initial report about the bikes being stolen came at 12:52 p.m. on Nov.16.

Lewistown teenager facing multiple drug charges after routine traffic stop

LEWISTOWN — Lewistown Police Department officers conducted a routine traffic stop on a vehicle for traffic violations at 9:42 p.m. on Nov. 16 and discovered a passenger, Bryson J. Hopkins,19, of Lewistown, was in possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia, according to a report released on Friday. Police said there was also a 17-year-old juvenile as a passenger in the vehicle. Upon speaking with all occupants, police were told that Hopkins provided marijuana which was recently ingested by everyone, including the juvenile. The report said Hopkins was charged with corruption of minors, possession of a small amount of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police said the driver of the vehicle was arrested for driving under the influence and charges are pending results from toxicology reports.
