One person injured in Decatur house fire
LEWISTOWN — Firefighters were called to a house fire at 5350 Back Maitland Road at about 9:53 a.m. Friday morning.
Upon arrival, Decatur Fire Co. Chief Mark Wolfgang reported a fully engulfed double-wide trailer with an injury.
As crews arrived, multiple hose lines were deployed as well as tankers, which were utilized in water shuttle operation. Crews had most of the fire knocked down in about 20 minutes, but remained on scene battling hot spots until around noon.
The homeowner, who was home at the time of the fire was injured and transported to Geisinger-Lewistown Hospital by Fame EMS.
Assisting Decatur at the scene was Burnham Fire Co, Chief Logan Fire Co, Yeagertown Fire Co, Reedsville Fire Co, Milroy Fire Co, New Lancaster Valley Fire Co, Junction Fire Co, Granville Fire Co, McVeytown Fire Co, Belleville Fire Co, Allensville Fire Co, Heritage Fire Co, Bannerville Fire Co, Fame EMS, and local Fire Police.
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
