LEWISTOWN — For over two centuries, the community has come together to commemorate patriotism.

Officially named “Let Freedom Ring” in 2003, residents of Lewistown and all surrounding communities come together and pull up a lawn chair to join the musical groups and dancers in a celebration of our country.

Originally scheduled for Saturday, the Let Freedom Ring concert was postponed to 7-9 p.m. Sunday in front of the Embassy Theatre. Attendees are reminded to bring a chair.

Over the years new additions have been added to expand the concert; now with performances from the Lewistown Community Band, the Lewistown Choir, the 8 to the Bar Sisters, and dancers representing Miss Stephanie’s Dance Studio.

Each year around the Fourth of July, our town comes together to wave the flag in admiration for the founding of our country with a military salute in recognition and remembrance for those who fought for our freedom.

Starting at $2.99/week.
