Thompsontown woman victim of theft after losing $200
THOMPSONTOWN — An unidentified 59-year-old Thompsontown woman was the victim of theft after she had $200 transferred online, according to a Public Information Release Report issue by Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown on Thursday. The incident, which is still being investigated by police, took place at 3:19 p.m. on May 17.
Class 1 Transport victim of fraudulent activity
MCVEYTOWN — Class 1 Transport Inc., of McVeytown, reported to Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown that a fraudulent theft of $972.54 had occurred between 5:29 p.m. and 5:41 p.m. on May 17, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Thursday. Police are still investigating the Comdata transfer of currency, the report said.
Beaver Springs man in crash after suspected DUI
LEWISTOWN — Pennsylvania State Police at Lewistown believe a Beaver Springs man was driving under the influence when he was involved with a one-vehicle accident at 7:36 p.m. on May 6, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Thursday. Leroy W. Aumiller, 58, was driving along Route 522 North in Decatur Township, just north of Franks Lane, when he traveled off the right side of the roadway and hit a ditch. Aumiller, driving a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu, traveled back on the roadway and into the southbound lane of travel before coming to a stop. Aumiller was not wearing a seat belt, police said. The report said he found to be DUI.
Police: Middleburg woman runs red light, hits another driver
MIDDLEBURG — A 75-year-old Middleburg woman was cited by Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove at 11:18 a.m. on May 17 for running a red light and hitting another driver, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Wednesday. Connie D. Nolder was driving a 2021 Jeep Cherokee when she ran a red light at the intersection of Route 522 and Airport Road in Monroe Township and hit a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by James J. Howe, 32, of Selinsgrove. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, and neither was injured. Stahl Brothers, Hackenberg’s Garage and Dauntless Hook and Ladder Fire Co., Selinsgrove, assisted on scene.
Indecent assault involving 12-year-old female under investigation
MIDDLEBURG — Pennsylvania State Police at Selinsgrove are investigating the alleged assault of a 12-year-old female from Mount Carmel that occurred between 10:30 p.m. on May 4 and 10:27 a.m. on May 5 on West Market Street, Middleburg, according to a Public Information Release Report issued on Wednesday. Police said the investigation is ongoing.
