Generoo slates 2021 camp, performance

BEAVER SPRINGS — The Generoo Organization, a nonprofit arts group supporting activities for young people, will hold a 2021 children’s theater camp and performance at Central Oak Heights, near Lewisburg.

The organization has offered the camp at a number of locations over several years, most recently at Susquehanna University. Last year’s camp was canceled due to COVID. The camp offers a week-long theatrical experience with two performances at the end.

This year’s musical is “Children of Eden Jr.”

Daily camp from Monday, July 5, through Friday, July 9, will be from 9:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. Performances will be the final camp day and Saturday, July 10, both at 7 p.m.

Bus transportation will be provided daily with pickups at West Snyder Elementary School and Midd-West High School.

Auditions for those who wish to act will be held at 2 p.m. June 12 at Grace Covenant Church in Middleburg. Students also are needed for the technical/stage crew and for costumes, hair and makeup. Only actors need to audition, but all campers must register. No registrations will be accepted after the audition date. Information for those who cannot attend the audition can get information on how to take part at the organization’s website, http://generoo.homestead.com/.

The fee is $100 per camper. Families with more than one camper receive a discount.
