No new deaths reported in all five local counties

4 of 5 counties see single-digit case increase

There were no new COVID-19 related deaths in all of the five local counties on Tuesday, according to data released by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

In Mifflin County, four new cases were reported and no new deaths. So far, there have been 4,590 total cases and 167 deaths in Mifflin County. There are 3,271 people in the county who have been fully vaccinated, meaning they have received both of the required doses of the Pfizer-BioBTech or Moderna vaccines or have received the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. There are 3,811 people partially vaccinated meaning they have only received one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines.

Juniata County reported the lowest amount of new cases out of the five local counties. Juniata reported one new case and no new deaths. There have been 1,820 total cases and 80 deaths so far. There are 1,507 people fully vaccinated and 1,787 people partially vaccinated in Juniata County.

Snyder County reported 11 new cases but no new deaths. There have been 3,042 total cases and 80 deaths so far. There are 2,325 people fully vaccinated in Snyder County and 2,959 people partially vaccinated.

In Huntingdon County, two new cases were reported with no new deaths. There have been 4,210 total cases and 124 total deaths so far. There are 3,180 people fully vaccinated and 3,672 people partially vaccinated.

Perry County reported eight new cases and no new deaths. There have been 2,904 cases total and 84 deaths so far. There are 1,482 people fully vaccinated and 2,080 people partially vaccinated.

There are currently four COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Huntingdon County. There are two COVID patients in the adult intensive care unit, and no COVID patients using a ventilator to assist breathing. In Mifflin County, there are seven COVID-19 patients hospitalized, four patients in the adult ICU and no COVID patients using a ventilator to assist with breathing, according to the health department.
