Double-digit case counts in three out of the five local counties were reported on Wednesday, according to the data released by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

In Mifflin County, 13 new cases were reported in addition to two new deaths. There have been 4,603 total cases and 169 deaths so far. There are 3,433 people fully vaccinated, meaning they have received both of the required doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines or have received the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine. There are 3,843 people partially vaccinated, meaning they haven’t yet had a second dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines.

In Juniata County, seven new cases were reported and one new death. There have been 1,827 total cases and 81 deaths so far. In Juniata County there are 1,566 people fully vaccinated and 1,784 people partially vaccinated.

Snyder County reported 10 new cases with no new deaths. Snyder County has had 3,052 total cases and 80 deaths so far. There are 2,438 people fully vaccinated and 3,090 people partially vaccinated.

Huntingdon County reported the highest amount of new cases at 16 but reported no new deaths. There have been 4,226 total cases and 124 deaths so far. In Huntingdon County there are 3,250 people fully vaccinated and 3,651 people partially vaccinated.

Perry County reported the lowest amount of new cases at only two new cases in addition to one new death. Perry County has had 2,906 total cases and 85 deaths so far. There are 1,551 people fully vaccinated and 2,105 people partially vaccinated.

Currently there are five COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Huntingdon County and three COVID patients in the adult intensive care unit. There are no COVID patients on ventilators to assist with breathing in Huntingdon County. In Mifflin County, there are seven COVID-19 patients hospitalized, four patients in the adult ICU, and no COVID patients using ventilators to assist breathing according to the health department.

Huntingdon County: 16 new cases, 4,226 total; no new deaths, 124 total; 3,250 people fully vaccinated, 3,651 people partially vaccinated

Perry County: 2 new cases, 2,906 total; 1 new death, 85 total; 1,551 people fully vaccinated, 2,105 people partially vaccinated
