No new deaths reported in Mifflin Co.

There were no new deaths attributed to COVID-19 reported in Mifflin County, according to data released Wednesday by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
There were 27 new cases reported in Mifflin County Wednesday, making the total 3,851 since the pandemic began. There have also been 131 deaths among county residents, according to the health department.
Mifflin County Coroner Daniel P. Lynch reported Wednesday that there have been another 14 COVID-19 deaths in the county in the past two weeks, although Lynch’s numbers reflect the number of deaths to occur in the county, regardless of where those people resided. The health department’s figures reflect the number of county residents who have died, regardless of where the death occurred. Lynch also reports the deaths of 146 people due to COVID-19 have occurred in Mifflin County since Nov. 8.
In Juniata County, three more deaths were reported, as were 25 new cases of COVID-19. Juniata County’s totals are now 68 deaths and 1,540 cases.
Snyder County reported 53 new cases and two additional deaths. Snyder County has had 2,249 cases and 55 deaths so far.
There were 28 new cases reported in Huntingdon County, but no additional deaths. Huntingdon County now has had 3,518 cases and 93 deaths.
In Perry County, 46 new cases were reported, but no additional deaths. Perry County’s totals are now 2,113 cases and 53 deaths.
In Mifflin County, there are currently 43 COVID-19 patients hospitalized, including eight in the intensive care unit, seven of which are currently using ventilators to assist with breathing. According to the health deapartment, there is currently one adult ICU bed available.
There are 12 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Huntingdon County, three of which are in the ICU. There are currently no patients in Huntingdon County using a ventilator and two adult ICU beds are available.
