Local counties reported three more COVID-19 deaths Monday, according to data released by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
In Mifflin County, 40 new cases were reported Monday as well as one additional death. Mifflin County’s totals now stand at 3,798 cases since the pandemic began and 129 deaths.
Juniata County reported only three new cases and no additional deaths. Juniata County has had 1,498 cases and 61 deaths so far.
Snyder County reported four new cases for a new total of 2,168. One additional death was reported as well, the 50th Snyder County resident to succumb to the virus.
In Huntingdon County, 25 new cases were reported Monday, the total now standing at 3,454 cases. The county reported no new deaths, but has a total of 92 so far.
In Perry County, 33 new cases were reported Monday for a new total of 2,038 cases. One additional death puts Perry County’s total at 52 deaths.
According to the health department, there are currently 42 COVID-19 patients hospitalized in Mifflin County with eight in the adult intensive care unit and five currently using a ventilator to assist with breathing. There are currently two available adult ICU beds in Mifflin County, according to the health department.
In Huntingdon County, 15 COVID patients are hospitalized, including one in the ICU. No Huntingdon County COVID patients are currently using ventilators. There are currently two available ICU beds in Huntingdon County.
