Supervisors approve 2020 CDBG project
Funds earmarked for Honey Brook Lane
REEDSVILLE–With the money received from their CDBG funds for 2020, the Brown Township Supervisors will use the funding to pave Honey Brook Lane. Resolution 2020-17 was approved after a unanimous vote.
This will be the project chosen by the township for the 2020 year. The board also approved a revision of resolution 2020-16, which was also a CDBG project. This resolution was to approve the purchase of laptops for students to use when working remotely for school. The revision was a minor word change in the way the resolution for the project was written.
The board also unanimously approved Ordinance 2020-2, the false alarm ordinance for the township. This ordinance came to light after receiving multiple calls from businesses and residence that turned out to be nothing more than a false alarm. The ordinance says after one call the caller will be notified of the incident. After a second time there will be a fine handed out by the township to the caller and for each repeated offense after that. The original idea was for there to be two warnings and on the third time then a fine would be handed down.
