¯Sexual Assault–Between July 30 and July 31, 2020, police received a report from Turkey Valley Road in Susquehanna Township, of a sexual assault involving a juvenile female from Liverpool. The incident is still under investigation.
¯Sexual Assault–Between Aug. 1 and Aug. 12, 2020, police responded to US 522 North, Decatur Township, for a report of a sexual assault involving a juvenile female. The investigation continues.
¯Terroristic Threats–At 2:30 p.m. Aug. 21, 2020, police responded to South River Road, Oliver Township, after Mifflin County Probation requested assistance with a barricaded individual. Matthew Cherry, 49, of McVeytown, was refusing to come out of his residence and making threats. He made multiple calls to 9-1-1 threatening to shoot any officer who tried to enter the residence. After several hours, Cherry was brought into custody and charged with terroristic threats.
¯Physical Harassment–At 10:57 p.m. Aug. 27, 2020, police responded to Mountain Road in Spruce Hill Township, for a harassment incident. Roger Rumberger, 44, of Port Royal, kicked a door, which struck an adolescent female in the hand, causing a superficial cut and soreness. Charges were filed against Rumberger.
¯Communication Harassment–At noon, Aug. 30, 2020, police responded to North Street, Mifflintown Borough, for a harassment. Kristiana Arentz, 32, of McClure,was instructed to stop calling another individual a 63-year-old male, of Mifflintown, by police. Arentz persisted with calling the individual numerous times. Arentz was cited with harassment for commununication.
