Construction projects are underway in local areas

LEWISTOWN — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation currently has a number of construction projects taking place in the Juniata River Valley. This is a list of projects made available by PennDOT District 2, which includes Mifflin and Juniata counties.

Mifflin County

¯Lewistown Borough — State Route 1005, Saftey corridor improvement.

¯Lewistown Borough — State Route 3001 (Main St.), Kish Creek bridge replacement.

¯Lewistown Borough, Derry and Granville townships — U.S. 22, resurfacing and CPR work.

¯Derry Township — Keystone Health Developement project roadway construction.

Juniata County

¯Mifflintown Borough — State Route 35, Schweyer Run bridge improvements.

¯Fermanagh Township — State Route 3002, Lost Creek bridge improvements.

¯Lack Township– State Route 3023, Lick Creek bridge improvements.

¯U.S. 22/322 — East of Arch Rock Road, high friction surface safety improvement.
