Police: 2 dead in evening shooting in Snyder County

HUMMELS WHARF — Two people are dead as the result of a Friday evening shooting outside the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Hummels Wharf, Monroe Township, Snyder County, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
Trooper Mark Reasman of the Milton station, who also serves as the public information officer for PSP Troop F, told reporters during a press conference that a suspect is in police custody and said there is no longer any danger to the public related to the incident.
When asked about a potential cause of the shooting, Reasman declined comment and said that more information would be made available at a later time. The official report released Friday night by PSP Selinsgrove classifies the incident as a homicide.
The two deceased individuals and the suspect were listed as “known” on the report but their identities were not publicly released as of press time Friday.
According to police, the incident occurred at 7:50 p.m. in the restaurant’s parking lot. The restaurant is in the Monroe Marketplace shopping center.
Criminal charges were not yet publicly available as of press time.
According to multiple media reports, one person was flown from the scene via Life Flight and taken to an unidentified hospital. It is not clear whether that person was one of the listed deceased individuals.
