Local food pantry to reopen in July
MIFFLINTOWN — The Juniata County Food Pantry will be reopening for clients to “shop” for their food on July 7.
As always, clients will need an appointment to come in. Extra measures will also be in place to protect both the clients and volunteers.
When arriving for appointments, remain in the vehicle and at your appointed time a volunteer will allow you to enter the waiting room, where you must wear a mask. Only one person (no children) per household is permitted, unless you need assistance.
The pantry is updating household forms and Self Declaration forms in July so clients we need to provide an ID and proof of address and a list of people in their homes, along with birthdays and income.
The Food Pantry is open on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m., and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. To schedule an appointment or for more information, call (717) 436-9718.
