LEWISTOWN — The Downtown Discovery Easter Egg Hunt Contest kicks off on Friday. Kids aged 3 through 11 are challenged to find all 32 brightly colored cardboard eggs including two new eggs created by local artists Adalynn Junk, Luke Fowler and Lillah Cherry.

For three weeks, these giant eggs will be “hidden” in storefronts and upper floor windows in businesses within the Downtown Lewistown area. All of the eggs can be seen without entering any buildings. Please practice social distancing while searching for the eggs.

The Downtown Discovery Contest will not end until the coronavirus restrictions have ended or April 14.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, many of the supporting businesses are closed though a couple of locations may be open and have forms for pickup, including Square Cafe, Downtown OIP and East End Coffee Co.

In addition to the physical forms, you may download and print at home or try digital entry at http://discovery.mifflincounty.us.

Correctly answered entry forms will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win one of more than 50 prizes donated by participating businesses.

For more information, contact the contest event Facebook page or email discoverycontest@mifflincounty.us.
