Renowned midwife joins Geisinger

Jeziorski enrolls in local health organization

LEWISTOWN, PA- Kathryn Jeziorski, CNM, a certified nurse midwife, has joined Geisinger Women’s Health. She sees patients in Lewistown and Gray’s Woods. Kathryn has eight years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse and three years as a certified nurse midwife.

Kathryn earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Highland Heights, Kentucky, in 2011 and her master’s degree in nursing and certified nurse-midwifery license in 2016.

Before joining Geisinger, Jeziorski served as a certified nurse midwife (CNM) at the Mifflin County OB/GYN. Kathryn builds strong relationships with women and families to focus on their unique needs. Through information, education and support, Kathryn can help women make the best decisions for their health, pregnancy, labor and birth.

She also served as a registered nurse at the Stone Springs Hospital Center, Dulles, Virginia, and Inova Alexandria Hospital, Alexandria, Virginia, from 2014 to 2016.

A CNM encourages a natural childbirth experience, letting the miracle of birth unfold through empowerment, attentive waiting, natural alternatives and low intervention. As advanced practice nurses, CNMs are primary-care providers of a full spectrum of prenatal care, including labor, delivery and postpartum. They also provide gynecological care for women from adolescence through menopause, as well as screenings and annual exams.
