¯Bluegrass Country Express with jam session — 5 p.m. kitchen opens, 6-9 p.m. band performs, 6:30 p.m. jam session, Four Seasons Senior Center, CJEMS Lane, state Route 35, Mifflintown. Food sales benefit the senior center. Admission is $2. Information: (717) 436-6847.

Saturday, Jan. 18

¯Clothing and shoe donations — 9 a.m.-noon, Evangel Baptist Church, 375 W. Fifth St., Lewistown. A volunteer will be there to assist.

¯Clothing closet — 9 a.m.-noon, Evangel Baptist Church, 375 W. Fifth St., Lewistown. Free soup and sandwiches available.

¯Shoe bank — 9 a.m.-noon, Grace United Methodist Church, Lewistown.

¯Brick Saturday — 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Mifflin County Library, Lewistown, and Kish Branch Library, Belleville. Kids of all ages can come and play with Legos provided by the library.

¯Free community meal and bingo — Doors open at 10 a.m., Sacred Heart School cafeteria. Meal served at 11 a.m. Bingo will follow the meal.

¯Square dance — 6 – 9 p.m., Mexico Grange annex. Walker Grange 786 will be sponsoring the event. Music will be provided by Down Yonder.
