Members recognized at Juniata 4-H meeting
Mexico–4-H Members, Leaders, and families recently attended the 2019 Annual 4-H Recognition Banquet held at Walker Grange in Mexico, PA.
The Juniata County Dairy Promotion provided milk punch for the punchbowl social, followed by a buffet dinner for the 111 in attendance.
Teen Leader, Marissa Woodward led the event with pledges to the American Flag and 4-H Flag. The invocation was given by 4-H Leader, Dan Auker.
The banquet program included a presentation by Non-Stop Quilter’s 4-H Club with Club Leader Tammy Brackbill sharing accomplishments of the club.
4-H Members and Leaders attending the banquet received certificates and pins for years of participation. Members awarded first year pins included: Elise Berrier, Selena Fultz, Katurah Haines, Braelynn Lehman, Kelsie Nailor, Tyler Nailor, Jael Supplee, Zoey Whitsel, and Ella Zimmerman. fifth year Member pins: Shalelyn Armstrong, Autumn Fronk, Paige Troyer, and Jamie Walters and 10 year Member: Madison Dressler

New to this year’s banquet was the presentation of 4-H Clover Awards. The Clover Award requires Members to apply and document successful completion of award criteria.

A posthumous recognition award was presented to June Gray in memory of her late husband, Albert Gray and in appreciation for the generous support of Juniata County 4-H.
Betty Jean Swartz of the Seeing Eye Puppy Club presented the “Friend of Seeing Eye Award” to Marianne Theurer, Adult Puppy Raiser and project leader for her tireless service in planning club events and outings.
